Joey trained at Bird College. Upon graduation he went on to spend a further year at Tiffany Theatre College where he completed his I.S.T.D. teacher training. Whilst there he received the TTC ballet award. Joey has also received additional training at the Broadway dance centre, New York City as well as the Sydney dance company Australia.
