James is a versatile and charismatic professional dancer, choreographer & educator. James’s style is a combination of his love for Jazz & Musical Theatre alongside his extensive training in both the contemporary and commercial industries.

James most recently choreographed ‘Young Frankenstein’ at the Institute of Contemporary Theatre and assisted choreographer and resident director Stuart Winter on his 3rd Year Degree Devised piece at Bird College.

House of Jazz’s sister production company Jazz House Theatre also premiered an all-jazz dance production in 2018 called “Welcome To The Grand - An international journey through historical cabaret” which James co-directed and choreographed alongside the company’s artistic director.

James' life long passion for film making led to the founding of 'Film by Harris’ in early 2019. A film producing venture that ranges from capturing dance concept films, showreels and longer form projects. His latest venture was a 45-minute documentary “Reboot: Dancing Through A Pandemic” by choreographer Stuart Winter and his company Tracing Movement. James co-directed, produced, captured and edited the documentary over a 18 month period, documenting Stuart’s action in re-introducing dancers into the studio in the midst of the global pandemic.
