Amie Brown
Contemporary
Amie trained at London Contemporary Dance School where she gained a First Class BA (Hons) Degree. Upon graduating, Amie joined Richard Alston Dance Company where she enjoyed performing and touring internationally. Whilst dancing professionally she also completed her Postgraduate Diploma and Masters with Distinction in Contemporary Dance. Amie has also enjoyed working with other choreographers such as Hofesh Shechter, Arthur Pitta, Kerry Nicholls, Darren Ellis and Martin Lawrence. Amie danced in DanceLines at the Royal Opera House under the direction of Wayne McGregor. Amie also has an established teaching career and has gained her PGCE with QTLS status. She has enjoyed teaching in a variety of educational and vocational settings including London Contemporary Dance School, Laban Centre, Sadler’s Wells, The Centre Performing Arts College, Dance Exchange (Birmingham) and Nicola Tarry Classical Ballet. Amie is extremely excited to be part of the teaching faculty at The Brighton Academy.
